URIAH HEEP - So Tired
Author: adminEXCLUSIVE
Original version of famous Uriah Heep’s song with lyrics
A Tribute to David Byron
Lyrics Start Here:
Well I’ve been in the road for a year or more
And I done a lot of things I never did before
Now I want everyone to listen to my song
And you can tell me when you’ve heard it if you think I’m wrong
‘Cause I’m so tired
Of everybody staring at me
Yes I’m so tired
And I’m so uninspired
Please help me
Well I’ve seen ‘em rise and I’ve seen ‘em fall
And I use to think that I was having a ball
But I was kiddin’ myself for a long long time
But now I got myself a spoon - I’m feeling fine
But I’m so tired
Of everybody staring at me
Yes I’m so tired
And I’m so uninspired
Wontcha please help me
Where can you go, where can you go
When there is no-one to show a guiding light
What did you say, what did you say
Have you been thinking about me day and night
‘Cause I’m so tired
Of everybody staring at me
And I’m so, so tired
And I’m so uninspired
Please help me
Wontcha please help me
(adlib vocals to end)

Original version of famous Uriah Heep’s song
A Tribute to David Byron
Lyrics Start Here:
This is a thing I’ve never known before
It’s called easy livin’
This is a place I’ve never seen before
And I’ve been forgiven
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find ya
Day after day on the windy road I had walked behind ya
Easy livin and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Waiting, watching
Wishing my whole life away
Dreaming, thinking
Ready for my happy day
And some easy livin’!
Somewhere along the lonely road I had tried to find you
Day after day on the windy road I had walked behind you
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart
Easy livin’ and I’ve been forgiven
Since you’ve taken your place in my heart

A Tribute to David Byron
If you’re looking for a place you can fly together
And you’re really afraid of what you’re leaving behind
Take the easiest road but take care my brother
For you’ll never find peace with a troubled mind
Far better to love each other
Than to worry so deeply ’bout the place you’re in
And far better to kiss her softly
Than looking back on a love
You’ll never have again
Time’s as fickle as the sky in winter
And two hearts always were better than one
And love has the wings of a tireless angel
She’ll stay beside you till the day is done
La la la la, La la la la
Far better to love each other
Than to worry so deeply ’bout the place you’re in
And far better to kiss her softly
Than looking back on a love
You’ll never have again
You’ll never have again
No no no no never again
You’ll never have again

URIAH HEEP ‘THAT’S THE WAY THAT IT IS’ VIDEO

GREAT GREAT SONG FROM MY ALL TIME FAVORITE RECORD, URIAH HEEP’S ‘ABOMINOG’! GOOFY VIDEO BUT STILL A KILLER TUNE
jlsutt
Thanks for posting this. It was the first video I ever saw on MTV, back in 1982. I remember the cable guy switching on the box, and this came on. Those cycles looked great in glorious videotape! I got to see this lineup the next year when they opened for Def Leppard in Seattle. They were excellent.

Does anybody remember the album cover of “Abominog”,the album that this song came from? I still have a copy in good to excellent shape. The religious TV stations in the 80’s had a field day on it,ripping it to shreds (verbally that is! What a bunch of uptight 8-Balls!

Great tribute to a great band! Many of their fans may have thought “Oh no, Uriah’s going pop with this” but I love it when great veteran bands put out a great song full of hooks and still remain true to who they are! By the way, I didn’t know that Lee Kerslake was such a hot chubby cutie back then! WOOF!
BobCubTAC
I agree. I love Joe Lynn Turner’s voice too!
100% agreed. I remember the song back in 1981, of course, but had never seen the vid till now. I had heard it was way goofy, and it sure was! A sci-fi love theme would have fit both the song’s theme & sound. Oh well, still a great song!
think they could use a better plot for the video. This is more appropiate for a band like Motorhead. This is a love song for Christ sake. I like this song but not the video
This could be a video plot for a Motorhead song. Uriah Heep was suppossed to be hard rock. This is a love song for Christ sake. Too bad

GreekPickerThey were sounding too American by that time and there was something missing (er… Hensley) but they were still good! I like “Abominog” but I like “Head First” even more! You may not know it, but many of the songs in these 2 albums were covers. Anyway, this video clip is great fun to watch and one of the very few Uriah Heep have made!
lemmyswarttJupitereight Simply Great. 5 stars.
Floydika Ah…this is nothing like Byron’s or Lawton’s era.
I agree with GreekPicker…they realy sounded too american at that time.
Demons and wizards, magicians birthday, fallen angel, firefly, salisbury will always be my favorite.
But this song is ok too.

ROCK’N'ROLL MEDLEY (LIVE SHEPPERTON’74) - URIAH HEEP

He was the wizard Of a thousand kings And I chanced to meet him One night wandering
He told me tales And he drank my wine Me and my magic man Kinda feeling fine
He had a cloak of gold And eyes of fire And as he spoke I felt a deep desire
To free the world Of it’s fear and pain And help the people To feel free again
Why don’t we listen to The voices in our hearts
cause then I know we’d find We’re not so far apart
Everybody’s got to be happy Everyone should sing
For we know the joy of life The peace that love can bring
So spoke the wizard In his mountain home
The vision of his wisdom Means we’ll never be alone
And I will dream of my magic night
And a million silver stars That guide me with their light
